promise to you

What can LDT offer you and your child?

It is the LDT promise that your child will be given a uniquely tailored tutoring programme of study. That you as the parent can help to shape and decide what you think is best for your child’s learning. Parents select LDT because a friendly, personable and professional service is on offer with a highly experienced and adaptable tutor. Communication plays an important part in the academic programme that LDT can provide for you and your child. LDT is here to help your child achieve their potential.

This is delivered through assessment procedures such as the setting of targets, striving for good grades, written reports and offering evaluative feedback to you or the child’s guardian. It is important that you, the parent, feel you can invest your trust in LDT. Most importantly, that you feel the working relationship between us all feels complete and coherent.

I am qualified to guide your child through any transitional phase of learning until they are reintegrated into school life. My teaching methodology and day-to-day curriculum is fun yet challenging. I employ a wide range of didactic learning styles to keep your child stimulated and occupied.

When and where do LDT lessons take place?

The child’s lesson usually takes place during the working day: to maximize their capacity for absorbing knowledge, understanding and information. It is scientifically proven that they are more likely to be alert, attentive and activated by learning during the day.

After your free initial consultation, the tuition often takes place in the comfort of your home or the place where your child is situated. This works well because your child can feel safe, secure and at ease. Ideally, the workspace / workstation is in an environment that feels personalised with minimal distractions, a zone that can increase productivity.

Which children benefit from LDT?

LDT fills the gaps in your child’s education and supplements their learning whilst currently out of the classroom. LDT students come from unforeseen, temporary or pre-planned circumstances. These often include:

Children absent from school due to either short or long term illness/anxiety.

Children who have recently moved to London in the middle of an academic year and awaiting placement for a specific school.

Children temporarily absent from school due to work commitments in the Entertainment Industry.

Children who require additional academic support/provision outside of school.

Children who are the result of an expulsion or temporary exclusion.

Children visiting from outside the UK, who are accompanying their working parents or having an extended holiday.

Children getting lost in their current educational system and losing their natural eagerness to learn.

An informed decision by parents to remove their child from mainstream education in favour of home schooling: whether it be a temporary or more long term arrangement.
